The SPOTS program was established to address this issue by educating students from preschool to high school about the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer.

 

 

The program uses innovative approaches such as interactive activities, personal stories, and a focus on skin of color.

 

 

The program, led by medical students, has expanded to over 40 medical schools and has shown positive results in improving students’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding skin cancer prevention and detection.
